This mountain has a wide variety of fauna and flora, with the wild boar, roe deer and wolf standing out in terms of fauna. As for vegetation, the highlight is the black oak, which covers an area of 6500 hectares. Hence, it is known as the largest black oak grove in the world. You can visit, at the top of the mountain, the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora da Serra, built in honor of Santa Teresinha.
Guide is a Portuguese village that belongs to the parish of Torre de Dona Chama, municipality of Mirandela. It has an ancestral grandeur in the parish area, but now the Church of Guide stands out, the main square and very pleasant houses showing some care in the old construction, along with the modern ones.
The Tuela River is a river of glacial origin, and its main tributaries are the Pedro River in Spain, and the Baceiro River, the Guide River and the Ribeira da Anta in Portugal. It has several river beaches, dams, mills, bridges and other places of historical and tourist interest (Santa Cruz hot springs).
